Emeryville, CA The Ambassador is envisioned as a family oriented community of 69 units serving households at 30% to 50% of Area Median Income ($26,800 to $44,650 for a family of four.) The site of the former Ambassador Laundry business, it is now surrounded by amenities for families, including a grocery store a short walk away and the bus hub at 41st Street and San Pablo Avenue. Large family-sized units are designed around a protected, landscaped inner courtyard on the podium level and a children’s garden and play area at grade, intended to transform this empty lot into a livable “mini-neighborhood.” The development will include three buildings. The largest building consists of apartments and a podium level with a lobby, property management and resident services offices, a laundry room, computer room, and a community room with kitchen, as well as a large bicycle parking area and parking lifts for cars. The two remaining buildings are on the “legs” of the site on Adeline Street and are townhouse style apartments.
