RCD has acquired a .69 acre site in the Eastlake/Lower San Antonio neighborhood of Oakland and is currently completing design of 55 apartments for families.  The development will provide much needed affordable homes for large families in an area which has historically experienced overcrowding.  The project is part of the Making Connections Oakland initiative of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, an initiative aimed at helping local children succeed by strengthening their families' connections to economic opportunity, positive social networks, and effective services and supports.  Located one block from Clinton Park, the Clinton Park Adult School, and Eastlake’s commercial core, the property will provide new homes in convenient proximity to jobs, transit, local services, and recreation.
