The Bella Monte Apartments project was a partnership between RCD and the O’Brien Group to develop a high quality, mixed-income residential community on the County-owned eight-acre parcel in Bay Point. RCD developed the multi-family portion of the plan that provided 52 family affordable rental apartments that consisted of 13 one-bedroom, 8 two-bedroom, and 31 three-bedroom units. Five units are reserved for households that include person(s) disabled with HIV/AIDS.

The multi-family affordable apartments are designed to reinforce the neighborhood identity and accentuate the goals and features desired by the community. The development is focused on a central plaza and open space that is surrounded by a childcare facility, a residential laundry, community room, and manager ’s office.
