Mable Howard Apartments is the product of an innovative partnership between RCD, Lifelong Medical Care, and the Center for Elders Independence. The development includes 40 units for very-low income frail elderly, above a new, expanded geriatric health center and an adult day services program. The health center and the housing were financed separately, but work together in a single building. In 2000, Wells Fargo Bank named RCD as a finalist for the Trail Blazer Award for Non-Profit Excellence for the development of this project.
