Services

RCD is more than just a nonprofit affordable housing developer. Through our Resident Services department, RCD provides low-income residents with onsite supportive services at 28 affordable housing sites. The goal is to assist residents in gaining financial stability and maintaining housing. To help residents reach these goals, RCD offers a broad range of services through either direct onsite assistance or referral to additional community resources. The Resident Services department has established productive working relationships with local government, community-based social service providers, current residents and neighbors to design sustainable services packages that meet the needs of our residents. RCD provides a wide range of supportive services that include counseling, case management, drug and alcohol therapy groups, and eviction prevention support. We also offer a number of community development programs to residents, including tenant empowerment workshops, computer labs and technology training, reading programs, tutoring courses, art programs, ESL classes, social events, and monthly tenant meetings. As tenants stabilize and make use of the services provided, they have the opportunity to transition into non-supported housing, making service-enriched housing available to new individuals and households.
